Welcome to QuickTale. By accessing or using our website at quicktale.store (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 13 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

QuickTale is a web application that allows users to:

  • Upload travel photos (stored locally on your device)
  • Add text descriptions and notes
  • Generate AI-powered travel storybooks
  • Download stories as PDF documents
Important: Your photos are stored exclusively on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB). QuickTale does not upload, store, or have access to your actual image files on our servers. Only story metadata (titles, text content, preferences) is stored in the cloud.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your credentials
  • All activities under your account

4. Credits & Payments

QuickTale operates on a credit-based system:

  • Credits are required to generate AI-powered storybooks
  • 1 Credit = 1 Story Generation
  • All credit purchases are final and non-refundable
No Refunds Policy: All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for unused or used credits. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other accounts.

5. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, including photos (stored locally), text descriptions, and generated stories. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your text content to generate AI narratives and store story metadata on our servers.

6. AI-Generated Content

Story narratives are generated by artificial intelligence based on your inputs. AI-generated content may not always be perfectly accurate and should be reviewed before sharing or publishing. Generated content remains your property.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by QuickTale and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to your original photos and text. Generated stories are yours to use, share, print, or publish.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Since photos are stored locally, clearing browser data will delete your images. We cannot recover locally-deleted photos. Always backup your original photos separately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickTale shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
